**Shape the Future of Flight: Senior PWB Layout Engineer**

**About This Opportunity:**
You’re not just routing traces; you’re architecting the nervous system of next-generation military and aerospace systems. We’re looking for a seasoned Printed Wire Board (PWB) Layout Engineer to join a critical team in Chandler, AZ. Here, your expertise will directly translate into avionics and test equipment that pushes the boundaries of technology and mission capability. This is a 12-month contract role where your skill and precision will be foundational.

**Your Mission:**
You will take the lead on designing and laying out complex, high-density printed wiring boards. Your day-to-day will involve deep collaboration with circuit design and mechanical engineers to ensure every design achieves perfect form, fit, and function. You’ll be a key voice in design reviews, communicating project status clearly, and ensuring our standards are nothing short of exceptional.

**What You Bring:**
We need a hands-on expert with a proven track record. The core of your profile includes:
* A minimum of 5 years of recent, dedicated PWB design layout experience using the **Cadence Allegro** tool suite.
* An AA/AS degree or similar 2-year post-high school training combined with your 5+ years of experience.
* Mastery of designing complex, multilayer boards (6-16 layers).
* Proven experience routing both digital and analog circuits, including power circuits.
* Specific expertise with high-speed digital and controlled-impedance routing for technologies like **SERDES and DDR3/DDR4**.
* Hands-on experience with **rigid-flex assemblies**.
* The ability to generate flawless fabrication artwork (ODB++, Gerbers).
* Extensive background in footprint/symbol creation and library management.
* A solid understanding of **IPC-2221 and IPC-7351** specifications.
* As this work supports vital national security programs, you must be a **U.S. Citizen** with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

**Stand Out With:**
* Knowledge of the Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA) manufacturing process.
* Experience with **CAM350** and/or **Valor DFM** software tools.
* Familiarity with other tool suites like **OrCAD Layout** and **Mentor PADS/Xpedition**.

**Compensation & Details:**
This role offers a competitive pay range of **$50-75/hr on a W2 basis**, with potential for more for an exceptionally qualified candidate. The position is based in **Chandler, Arizona**, and requires onsite presence. US Citizenship is required.
