Pharmacy Technician - Home Infusion - (Alexandria, VA)

📍 Alexandria, Virginia 💰 $27 - $27 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
Imagine a role where your precision directly improves someone’s quality of life—without them ever leaving their home. As a Pharmacy Technician on our home infusion team in Alexandria, VA, you’ll be the hands behind the sterile preparations that let patients receive critical therapies in comfort. This isn’t a retail counter or a hospital basement; it’s a focused, patient-centered environment where your attention to detail and regulatory know-how make a tangible difference every shift.

**What You’ll Do**
You’ll work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, taking ownership of sterile compounding for infusion and specialty injection medications. Your day-to-day will include:

- Performing infusion-related sterile compounding procedures, following USP standards and organizational policies to the letter
- Assembling patient-specific supplies and equipment, ensuring every kit is complete and ready for delivery
- Maintaining and cleaning pharmacy work areas—think laminar flow hoods, cleanrooms, and prep spaces—to keep everything inspection-ready
- Supporting quality control and performance improvement initiatives, from log audits to environmental monitoring
- Occasionally lifting over 40 lbs., standing for extended periods, and using a computer keyboard frequently
- Driving to alternate sites or patient homes as needed (moderate to high amounts of driving, with extended sitting)

**What You Bring**
You’re at least 18, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and are currently registered with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. You have at least one year of pharmacy technician experience—ideally in a lab, hospital, or healthcare setting. A national CPhT certification? That’s a strong plus. You’re comfortable with latex products and have solid interactive skills, because you’ll coordinate with pharmacists, referral sources, and occasionally patients or their families.

**Why This Role Stands Out**
This is fully onsite in Alexandria, VA—no remote or hybrid option. You’ll be part of a team that values precision over speed, and quality over volume. If you’re a technician who takes pride in clean technique, accurate compounding, and making sure every detail is right before a patient’s infusion, this is your kind of place.

**Compensation**
Competitive pay based on experience—details shared during the interview process.
