**Your Role**
You’ll perform infusion nursing procedures in patient homes and our ambulatory infusion center, blending clinical precision with genuine human connection. Every day, you’ll:
- Use the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to guide each patient’s care.
- Stay current with infusion therapy standards and incorporate them into your daily practice.
- Document thoroughly and communicate clearly with the patient’s entire healthcare team.
- Act as a trusted resource for prescribers, referral sources, and patients on equipment, venous catheters, and supplies.
- Educate patients using adult learning principles and our teaching materials—because informed patients heal better.
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff on care planning, drug delivery, and clinical assessments.
- Contribute to our performance improvement committee, helping us continuously raise the bar on quality.
- Complete all assigned paperwork and documentation promptly.
**What You Bring**
You’re a Registered Nurse with an active Virginia license in good standing, and you’ve got at least three years of clinical experience under your belt—including a minimum of one year in acute care or alternate site IV therapy. You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and you’re comfortable navigating the Alexandria area.
You also bring strong interpersonal skills—the kind that make patients, physicians, and colleagues trust you instantly. If you hold an IV certification (like CRNI) or another infusion-related credential, that’s a definite plus.
