**Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept**
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, you’ll own the full scope of care delivery for one of the hospital’s busiest service lines. That means you’ll:

- **Translate vision into action.** You’ll take the hospital’s big-picture goals and turn them into concrete, measurable plans for your Med-Surg and Tele units—everything from patient safety targets to growth initiatives.
- **Own the numbers that matter.** You’ll build and manage the departmental budget, keeping a sharp eye on labor costs, Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD), and productivity. No spreadsheets in a vacuum—you’ll make resource decisions that keep the unit lean, effective, and ready for anything.
- **Lead with clinical authority.** You’re the go-to expert for your team. That means ensuring every nurse is proficient in the nursing process, equipment use, and hemodynamic interpretation. You’ll champion Evidence-Based Practice and drive 100% compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal standards.
- **Turn data into better care.** Performance improvement isn’t a checkbox—it’s a rhythm. You’ll oversee PI activities, using real-time data to refine workflows, reduce errors, and improve patient outcomes.
- **Build people, not just schedules.** From interviewing and orientation to annual reviews and career development, you’ll guide managers and frontline staff through every stage of their journey. You’ll partner with the education team to identify learning gaps and coordinate specialized training, from cardiac life support to emergency preparedness.
- **Collaborate without silos.** You’ll work hand-in-hand with ancillary directors and physicians to ensure seamless, coordinated care across the board.

**What You Bring**
- An active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- Proven leadership experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry settings
- A track record of managing budgets, HPPD, and productivity targets
- Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice
- The ability to inspire, mentor, and hold a team accountable with empathy and clarity

- **Compensation:** $125,000 – $140,000 per year
