**What You’ll Do**
You’ll own the recruiting process from start to finish for attorneys and professional staff. That means sourcing, phone screening, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and guiding new hires through onboarding—all while keeping the candidate experience human and professional. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Human Resources to assess hiring needs, set timelines, and craft strategies that align with the firm’s growth.
You’ll also:
- Post job openings and keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) accurate and up-to-date.
- Schedule interviews and manage communication between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers—always with a prompt, polished touch.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation, and assist with onboarding logistics.
- Conduct reference checks, background checks, and conflicts checks, ensuring full compliance with California and federal laws (including FEHA and the California Fair Chance Act).
- Track recruiting metrics like time-to-fill and hiring activity, and report on what’s working.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, making sure they align with the firm’s standards.
Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll support special HR and recruiting projects, from process improvements to compliance updates. You’ll be the person who ensures every candidate—whether they get the job or not—walks away with a positive impression of the firm.
**What You Bring**
You have at least 4 years of recruiting support experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment. You’re comfortable with ATS and HR tech tools, and you know the ins and outs of attorney and professional staff recruiting. California employment laws? You’ve got them down—background checks, equal opportunity, the works.
You’re also:
- A master organizer who juggles multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
- A clear, confident communicator—both in writing and in person.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and beyond).
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but your experience speaks volumes.
