**Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept**
You’ll step in as the Senior Civil Engineer—the person who takes site development and infrastructure projects from a spark of an idea to ribbon-cutting reality. You’ll lead design efforts for grading, drainage, utility systems, and more, ensuring every plan is precise, every calculation is sound, and every project stays on time and on budget.
You’ll also be the mentor you wish you’d had: guiding junior engineers and designers, reviewing their work with a sharp eye, and helping them grow their technical chops. Collaboration is key here—you’ll work hand-in-hand with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies, navigating the complexities of local, state, and federal permitting.
**What You’ll Actually Do**
- Lead civil engineering design for site development, infrastructure, grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Oversee project execution to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycles.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality oversight.
- Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater management systems.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and support proposal development efforts as needed.
**What You Bring to the Table**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license—non-negotiable.
- 8–10 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and infrastructure.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related civil engineering software.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes.
- Experience working on federal projects? That’s a big plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Pre-employment drug test, background check, and valid driver’s license required.
**The Numbers**
Compensation: **$80,000 – $100,000 per year**, based on experience.
