Connecting exceptional talent with leading employers

Packaging/Consumer Goods Engineer

📍 Lexington, Kentucky 💰 $90,000 - $100,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t your typical engineering role. You’ll join a fast-moving, quasi-startup in Lexington, Kentucky—a company that’s pivoted from heavy chemical processing into the world of finished consumer goods. Think liquid supplements, gummies, ingestibles, and lotions. They’re scaling fast, and they need a hands-on engineer who can keep the line running, solve problems on the fly, and grow into a leadership role as the company expands. If you’re the kind of person who loves being in the middle of the action—troubleshooting equipment one minute and planning a scale-up the next—this is your chance to make a real impact.

**What You’ll Do**
You’ll be the technical backbone of a packaging operation that’s growing every day. Your focus will be on keeping things moving, reliable, and efficient.

- **Troubleshoot and maintain** fillers, cappers, conveyors, and labeling systems. When a line goes down, you’re the one who gets it back up—fast.
- **Drive reliability improvements** through hands-on preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis. You’ll spot weak points before they become problems.
- **Wear multiple hats** as you learn the products and processes. One day you’re on the floor fixing a jammed capper; the next, you’re working on scale-up projects or executing new line installations.
- **Grow into project leadership**—as you master the operation, you’ll take on bigger challenges: process optimization, new product introductions, and capital projects.

**What You Bring**
- A **B.S. in Engineering** (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) and at least **1 year of post-college manufacturing experience** in consumer goods, packaging, bottling, or a similar environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with **fillers, cappers, conveyors, and labeling systems**—you’ve worked with them, not just read about them.
- A **quick learning curve** and a willingness to jump into anything. This isn’t a role where you’ll sit in meetings all day. You’ll be on your feet, solving real problems.
- A desire to **grow into a leadership role**—the company is small enough that your contributions will be visible, and your career path is wide open.

**Why Join?**
You’ll get to shape the future of a company that’s reinventing itself. The work is varied, the pace is fast, and the impact is immediate. Plus, you’ll be based in Lexington, Kentucky—a city with a low cost of living and a thriving food-and-beverage scene.

**Compensation:** $90,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
