Inventory Specialist

📍 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 💰 $50,000 - $58,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
You’re not just counting parts—you’re the backbone of a fast-moving steel tube manufacturing operation. At KnowHireMatch.com, we’re looking for an Inventory Specialist who thrives on precision, loves solving puzzles in real-time, and wants to make a tangible impact on production flow. If you’re ready to trade a quiet desk for a dynamic industrial floor where every transaction matters, this Pittsburgh-based role offers stability, growth, and a compensation package that rewards results.

**Your Mission**
You will own the accuracy of raw steel coils, work-in-process, and finished goods inventory inside a high-volume manufacturing environment. Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), you’ll ensure every receipt, transfer, production consumption, and shipment is recorded in real-time. When discrepancies pop up—and they will—you’ll investigate, reconcile, and implement fixes that keep production humming. You’ll also maintain strict traceability for heat numbers, lot control, and certification documents, so quality never slips.

**What You’ll Do Day-to-Day**
- Perform cycle counts and full physical inventories, then dig into root causes when numbers don’t match.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to stage materials exactly when and where they’re needed.
- Verify inbound raw materials against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting for damage and flagging quality holds.
- Monitor material flow to prevent stockouts or excess buildup—your foresight keeps the line moving.
- Use Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP) to analyze data and spot trends before they become problems.

**What You Bring**
- 2–5 years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP/MRP systems—D365 Supply Chain and Inventory modules are a must.
- A high school diploma (Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred).
- Forklift and material handling certification (or ability to obtain it quickly).
- Strong analytical chops and a knack for disciplined transaction management.
- Bonus points for experience in steel, metals, or tube/pipe manufacturing, plus knowledge of heat number traceability and material certifications. APICS (CPIM) or Lean/Six Sigma training? Even better.

**Compensation & Perks**
- **Salary:** $50,000 – $58,000 per year
- **401K:** 12% company contribution
- **Quarterly Bonuses:** 10% – 15% based on performance

This isn’t a generic inventory gig. It’s a chance to be the person everyone relies on to keep the steel flowing. Ready to make your mark? Apply now.
