**About This Opportunity:**
You’re not just processing payroll—you’re the expert behind the scenes ensuring everything runs seamlessly. We’re a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization with a team of around 700 people across multiple states. We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who knows Paylocity inside and out. This is your chance to take ownership, clean up processes, and become the go-to authority for a stable, expanding company that values impact and collaboration.

**What You’ll Do:**

You’ll be the backbone of our payroll operations, ensuring every detail is accurate and compliant. Your days will include running end-to-end payroll for our multi-state workforce, which includes a large non-exempt population. You’ll ensure all earnings, deductions, and 401(k) contributions are correct, while staying ahead of federal, state, and local regulations.

As our internal Paylocity expert, you’ll manage system configuration, earnings and deduction codes, workflows, and accruals. You’ll handle file feeds and integrations with benefits, 401(k), and time systems, using batch uploads and automation to streamline processes.

A big part of your role will be audit, cleanup, and improvement. You’ll tidy up payroll codes, employee classifications, and workers’ comp setup, making sure everything ties cleanly to the GL and benefits. We’ll rely on you to spot issues before they become problems and to continuously find ways to make our payroll operations more efficient.

You’ll also own compliance and reporting, navigating multi-state requirements like leave laws, paid family leave, CA pay data reporting, IL Equal Pay reporting, and BLS surveys.

**You Bring:**

- 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience
- Deep, practical expertise with Paylocity—no learning curve needed
- Multi-state payroll experience, ideally with a high volume of non-exempt employees
- A solid understanding of payroll compliance
- A problem-solving mindset and a knack for improving systems

It’s a plus if you have experience with payroll audits, cleanup projects, or have worked in healthcare or a multi-location environment.

**Compensation & Benefits:**

This role offers a base salary of $90,000–$100,000 per year, along with strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with match, generous PTO and holidays, company-paid life and disability insurance, and a hybrid work schedule based in Burr Ridge, Illinois.
