**About This Opportunity**
You're not just designing another component; you're engineering the backbone of advanced missile systems. We're seeking a hands-on NX Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Chandler, AZ, where you'll transform stated objectives into reliable, high-performance hardware. This is a 6-month contract-to-direct-hire role where your expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and test will directly contribute to mission-critical aerospace and defense projects. **You will:**
- Perform mechanical analysis, CAD design, and testing of complex materials, structural components, and functional systems for advanced missile system products.
- Utilize advanced engineering software, with a primary focus on **Siemens NX**, to bring designs to life, applying **GD&T principles** to ensure precision and manufacturability.
- Adapt and improve upon successful heritage designs by applying sound engineering principles and a creative mindset to find new and better ways to achieve objectives.
- Take ownership from concept through verification, developing test programs to evaluate materials and components, managing test article fabrication, and meticulously documenting results.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, presenting project status, analysis, and test findings through detailed reports and presentations to both internal teams and external customers.

**You bring:**
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 2+ years of related engineering experience, OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 1+ year of experience.
- US Citizenship, as required for this onsite position in Chandler.
- Proficiency in mechanical CAD, with a strong preference for hands-on experience in **Siemens NX**.
