# Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction
**Location:** Raleigh, NC | **Compensation:** $120,000 – $165,000/year

## What You'll Do

Your day-to-day is a mix of deep analysis, strategic thinking, and hands-on leadership. You'll:

- **Analyze bid documents** and interpret civil construction plans with precision
- **Execute quantity takeoffs** and build out complete project scopes from the ground up
- **Define subcontractor needs**, meet DBE goals, and flag constructability concerns before they become problems
- **Uncover value engineering opportunities** that save money without sacrificing quality
- **Manage pre-bid owner coordination** and build relationships that set your bids apart
- **Build and submit complete bid packages** and project schedules that win
- **Guide and support junior estimators** — helping them grow while you sharpen your own skills

Some local travel is required, and occasional weekend availability comes with the territory. But when you're building bids that land $45M projects, the effort is worth it.

## What You Bring

- **4–7 years** of civil construction estimating experience
- **Familiarity with DOT work** — NCDOT experience is a major plus
- **Hands-on experience** with highway, earthwork, bridge, or utility projects
- **Proficiency in HeavyBid** or a comparable estimating platform
- A degree in construction management or a related field? Great. Not a dealbreaker if you've got the experience.
