**Your Role: Physician Medical Director**
As the Medical Director, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care while guiding clinical operations. You’ll build a panel of patients, managing a mix of chronic conditions and acute needs. A typical 8-hour shift involves seeing a minimum of 14 patients, allowing for meaningful interaction. Your clinical responsibilities are broad and include managing hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, hyperlipidemia, HIV, STIs, and various acute infections and illnesses. Importantly, your work will not be limited exclusively to HIV management; you will practice true comprehensive primary care.
Your key duties will include:
* Overseeing patient scheduling to optimize continuity of care and meet productivity benchmarks.
* Ensuring timely documentation, completed the same day of the visit or within 72 hours, with accurate E&M coding.
* Collaborating seamlessly with a dedicated care team including front desk staff, care coordinators, and nursing.
* Providing leadership and clinical direction to support the center’s mission and quality standards.
**What You Bring**
* An M.D. or D.O. with a current, active Tennessee medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
* Board Certification or Eligibility in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice, with 2+ years of post-residency experience.
* A valid DEA & Furnishing license.
* Current CPR/BLS certification.
* A commitment to obtaining AAHIVM Certification within 18 months of hire.
* Prior experience diagnosing and managing patients in an outpatient primary care setting.
* Comfort and skill in managing a patient load of 14-18 visits per day with excellence.
