**The Role: Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer**
Location: Pottsville, Pennsylvania (100% On-site)
Compensation: $95,000 – $130,000 per year + Bonus Plan Eligibility + Paid Relocation
You will lead capital projects from initial scope and cost estimation to final execution and start-up—managing multiple initiatives at once. Your expertise in machine design and hydraulics will drive upgrades to heavy industrial machinery, ensuring every system operates at peak efficiency. You’ll review vendor drawings, evaluate proposals, and direct external contractors to keep projects safe and on schedule.
You’ll partner with controls engineers to design software logic that makes machine operations seamless and safe. As the senior technical resource for maintenance teams, you’ll troubleshoot complex issues and develop long-term solutions for equipment stability. And you’ll verify that every design meets industrial codes, safety regulations, and internal standards.
**What You Bring**
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS or BA preferred).
- 10–15 years of heavy industrial experience—direct experience in extrusion, rolling, or forging will set you apart.
- Expert-level knowledge of machine design, heavy equipment installation, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and a solid grasp of industrial project management principles.
- Comfort working “boots on the ground” in a fast-paced, high-heat, 24/7 manufacturing facility.
**Preferred Skills**
- Working knowledge of high-speed manufacturing and robotics.
- Experience in cost control, scheduling, and developing detailed Scopes of Work (SOW).
- Ability to mentor maintenance teams and communicate technical concepts to non-engineering departments.
