Construction Manager – Solar Energy Projects

📍 Greenville, South Carolina 💰 $120,000 - $150,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
At KnowHireMatch.com, we’re not just filling a role—we’re connecting you with a career that puts your leadership to the test. If you’re the kind of Construction Manager who thrives on the challenge of delivering complex solar projects on time, on budget, and with zero compromise on quality, this is your chance to step into a premier construction and infrastructure firm that’s rapidly expanding its renewable energy division. You’ll own the full lifecycle of solar initiatives, from early planning to final handover, and leave a tangible mark on the clean energy landscape.

**What You’ll Do**
You’ll lead from the front, starting with pre-construction planning. That means working directly with clients, engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define clear scopes, create detailed material lists, and build execution strategies that set every project up for success. From there, you’ll own the schedule—sequencing work logically, hitting every milestone, and keeping the momentum alive.

You’ll also:
- Develop accurate cost estimates and monitor expenses in real time, providing transparent budget updates to clients without surprises.
- Spot budget or schedule variances early and resolve them with practical, decisive solutions.
- Direct all on-site construction and maintenance for solar facilities, structures, and supporting systems—your hands-on leadership makes the difference.
- Enforce the highest safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with regulations and a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe practices.
- Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractors and specialty contractors to guarantee quality workmanship and specification compliance.
- Handle contract administration, including negotiations, change orders, and holding every party accountable to their obligations.
- Partner with clients, designers, and field teams to tackle technical, procedural, or quality issues as they arise.
- Manage the unexpected—delays, weather impacts, or emergencies—while keeping projects on track and teams focused.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with owners, project teams, trades, and craft personnel at every level.
- Step up for any additional tasks needed to support successful project delivery and team performance.

**What You Bring**
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field, backed by 7–10+ years of progressive experience in renewable energy construction—with a significant focus on solar projects. Your communication is sharp, both verbal and written, and you’re equally comfortable in the field and in client meetings.

**Compensation**
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, reflecting your experience and impact.
