Manufacturing Process Engineer

📍 Waterloo, Iowa 💰 $90,000 - $95,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
At KnowHireMatch, we believe the best manufacturing happens when process meets purpose. This isn’t just about tweaking cycle times—it’s about transforming how things are made. We’re looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer who sees the big picture and the tiny details, someone who can take a die-casting line from “good enough” to “how did we ever do it any other way?” If you’re ready to own the process, challenge the status quo, and build smarter from the ground up, this Waterloo-based role is your next move.

**What You’ll Do**
You’ll be the bridge between design and production, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the Manufacturing Manager to find the friction points—then eliminate them. You’ll analyze workflows, redesign methods, and implement changes that boost output while cutting costs. This isn’t a desk job; you’ll be on the floor, in the data, and in the details.

- Develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes to drive productivity, quality, and safety—especially in die-casting environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new processes, technologies, and equipment online, on time, and on budget.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, turning problems into permanent solutions.
- Monitor process data (cycle time, yield, scrap rates) and spot trends before they become issues—then propose and implement fixes.
- Identify waste and inefficiency, then design and execute improvements that reduce cost and increase throughput.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for process-related issues, from the line to the boardroom.
- Train and guide production teams on new procedures, equipment, and processes—making sure everyone is set up for success.
- Stay current with process engineering advancements, bringing fresh ideas and best practices to the team.
- Own all process documentation: APQP, machine setup, tooling instructions, work instructions, and gage instructions.
- Partner with Product Design to ensure new and existing designs are manufacturable—without compromising safety, quality, or productivity.

**What You Bring**
You have at least 2 years of hands-on manufacturing process engineering experience, and you know die-casting inside and out. You’re analytical but practical—you can read a data sheet and then walk onto the floor and make it real. You communicate clearly, collaborate easily, and you’re not afraid to challenge a process that isn’t working.

**Compensation & Location**
This is a full-time, on-site role in Waterloo, Iowa, with a salary range of **$90,000–$95,000 per year**, depending on experience.
