Senior Financial Analyst
📍 Cressona, Pennsylvania
đź’° $92,000 - $125,000
🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another analyst role—it’s a launchpad. You’ll step into the heart of a massive, recently modernized manufacturing operation in Cressona, PA, where over 1,100 people work every day to keep one of the region’s largest employers running. As Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll sit directly alongside the Controller, owning the numbers that drive decisions on the plant floor. Think of it as a succession-track role: we’re looking for someone who wants to grow into broader finance leadership within a stable, global organization. And yes, you’ll be on-site every day—because the best insights come from walking the floor, not just the spreadsheet.
**What You’ll Own**
You’ll lead the monthly close process—P&L, capital base, and operational reporting—with a focus on making it faster, more accurate, and less manual. You’ll drive automation that reduces rework and frees you up for higher-impact work.
Your primary focus, though, is cost accounting and inventory discipline. You’ll own standard cost validation, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. You’ll reconcile movements, maintain Oracle cost data integrity, and support semi-annual physical inventories. If you’ve ever wanted to dig into actual vs. standard cost reviews and make them truly useful, this is your chance.
You’ll also be a financial partner to the Plant Manager and line leadership—not just a number-cruncher, but someone who delivers actionable KPI insights that improve performance and profitability. On the planning side, you’ll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and tracking capital investments tied to the site’s recent expansion.
And yes, you’ll support audits and strengthen internal controls. Compliance isn’t a checkbox here; it’s part of how we build trust.
**What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)**
- You master the month-end close with minimal rework.
- Cost accuracy improves, and inventory controls tighten.
- Operations leaders see you as a trusted partner, not just a report.
- Audit support is clean, and reporting is disciplined.
**Ideal Background**
- 5+ years of plant-based manufacturing finance experience
- Deep standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis skills
- Strong ERP background (Oracle preferred)
- Comfortable working onsite in a hands-on, large-scale manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
**Why Consider This Opportunity**
- Clear 1–3 year development path toward broader finance leadership
- Recently modernized site with significant capital investment
- Backed by a stable global organization
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
**Compensation:** $92,000 – $125,000 per year
