**What You’ll Do**
You’ll be the primary point of contact for an assigned book of commercial lines clients—meaning you’ll handle everything from daily inquiries to complex coverage questions. But this isn’t just about answering emails. You’ll use strategic thinking to anticipate client needs before they arise, tailoring insurance solutions that actually fit their business. You’ll work with clients every day, building relationships that go beyond transactions.
You’ll also:
- Navigate rate-making and underwriting processes with confidence, applying your knowledge to support client needs effectively.
- Collaborate with your team to keep workflows smooth and solve operational challenges as they come up—no silos here.
- Bring your expertise in insurance markets and rating processes to every conversation, helping clients make informed decisions.
**What You Bring**
First, a valid insurance license—non-negotiable. You also have at least three years of experience servicing commercial business, and you’re comfortable with insurance terminology, protection solutions, and how policies apply to real-world scenarios.
On the technical side:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a must.
- Familiarity with Applied TAM software is a strong plus—it’ll help you hit the ground running.
You’re organized and proactive, with exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize when things get busy. Your communication is clear, whether you’re explaining a coverage nuance to a client or coordinating with a colleague. And you bring reliability, integrity, and a knack for solving problems before they become problems.
Professional designations like CIC, CRM, ARM, CPCU, or AAI? Highly desirable, but not required—if you have them, great; if not, your experience and drive matter just as much.
**Compensation & Benefits**
This role pays **$70,000 to $100,000 per year**, based on your experience. There are also supplemental pay opportunities, including bonuses and commissions.
