Associate Attorney - Energy Transactions

📍 Houston, Texas 💰 $235,000 - $390,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another energy law role. It’s a chance to join a global firm with over a century of market-shaping work—where you’ll sit at the intersection of finance, infrastructure, and the energy transition. If you’re ready to move beyond routine diligence and into complex, high-stakes transactions that power the grid and define the future of energy, this is your next move.

**The Role**
As an Associate Attorney in our Energy & Infrastructure practice, you’ll work across the full project lifecycle—from development and financing to M&A and restructuring. You’ll represent sponsors, developers, lenders, private equity investors, and tax equity investors on some of the largest energy deals in the U.S. and internationally.

Your day-to-day will include:
- Structuring and negotiating project and energy financings, including sustainability-linked and green loan-aligned structures
- Advising on private M&A transactions in the energy and infrastructure space
- Working on tax equity structures and IRA credit monetization
- Collaborating with a powerhouse team that handles every major financing structure in the project finance marketplace

You’ll be based in Houston, New York, or Washington, DC—and you’ll have direct access to mentorship, training, and a path to partnership in a firm that values depth over breadth.

**What You Bring**
You have 2–6 years of meaningful experience in energy and infrastructure transactions. More specifically:
- Strong background in financing and/or private M&A transactions
- Preferred experience in project/energy financing and energy/infrastructure M&A
- Hands-on tax equity or IRA credit experience is a major plus
- A JD from a top-tier accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing (New York, DC, or Texas, depending on office)
- Prior experience at an AmLaw 200 firm

You’re the kind of lawyer who doesn’t just read the deal—you see the angles, the risks, and the opportunities. You’re comfortable in the details and confident in the room.

**Compensation & Benefits**
We believe in rewarding the work that moves markets.
- Salary range: **$235,000 – $390,000** (plus bonus)
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, dependent care, and health care flexible spending accounts
- 401(k) with profit-sharing, paid time off, and a robust wellness program
