**About This Opportunity**
Some jobs are just jobs. This one? It’s the kind you actually look forward to. We’re KnowHireMatch.com, and we’re partnering with a standout Structural Engineering Design Firm in Indianapolis that’s built a reputation for cool projects, a tight-knit culture, and a backlog that keeps growing. They’re looking for a Structural Engineer, PE, who knows their way around multifamily wood frame buildings—and who’s ready to take their career to the next level. If you’re tired of being a cog and want to be part of a team that actually values your craft, keep reading.
**What You’ll Do**
You’ll step into a role where your designs shape the skyline—or at least the neighborhoods. As the go-to structural engineer for multifamily wood frame building design, you’ll:
- Lead structural design from concept through construction documents, with a focus on wood-framed multifamily projects.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to deliver creative, code-compliant solutions.
- Use your PE (or SE) stamp to take ownership of your work—because here, your signature means something.
- Dive into Revit for drawing and modeling (if you’ve got it, great; if not, they’ll help you get there).
- Tackle a variety of building types beyond wood frame, keeping your skills sharp and your days interesting.
**What You Bring**
This isn’t a checkbox list—it’s about what you actually know and do. Here’s what they’re looking for:
- A BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering? That’s a big plus).
- 3 to 10+ years of structural building design experience, with a **must-have** in multifamily wood frame design.
- Active EIT, PE, or SE certification—required.
- A self-starter attitude: you’re eager to learn, take on responsibility, and maybe even teach others a thing or two.
- Revit skills are nice to have, but not a dealbreaker—they’ll invest in your growth.
**Why This Role?**
The culture here isn’t just “good on paper.” It’s the kind where people actually like coming to work. You’ll get:
- **Compensation:** $80,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience.
- **Flexibility:** This can be fully remote—yes, you read that right. Work from your home office, a coffee shop, or wherever you do your best thinking.
- **Growth:** A growing backlog means stability and room to move up.
- **Projects that matter:** Multifamily wood frame buildings that are complex, rewarding, and genuinely cool.
**Ready to Build Something?**
If you’re a Structural Engineer who’s ready to design more than just walls and beams—who wants to design a career—this is your shot. Apply now and let’s talk about where you fit in.
