**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t your typical HR admin role. You’ll sit at the heart of a high-visibility HQ in Pittsburgh, supporting operations that stretch into Canada—and you’ll do it all in two languages. If you’re the kind of person who thrives on variety, loves solving people puzzles, and wants your next move to feel like a step up, this is it. You’ll work with a collaborative team, enjoy a strong compensation package, and get the chance to travel quarterly to Canada. Ready to make an impact? Read on.
**What You’ll Do**
You’ll be the go-to HR support for a manufacturing site, bridging the gap between local employees and the corporate team. Your days will be a mix of hands-on tasks and strategic coordination:
- Handle employee questions, HR issues, and paperwork alongside the corporate HR team—think of yourself as the friendly, knowledgeable first stop for everything people-related.
- Set up and maintain employee files, assign hourly employee numbers, and keep the time clock system running smoothly.
- Track time, PTO, attendance, and payroll status changes, working weekly with the plant manager and corporate payroll to process accurate payroll.
- Compile data from site personnel records and prepare reports as needed—you’ll be the one people turn to for answers.
- Examine personnel files to respond to inquiries from authorized site and corporate contacts, always maintaining confidentiality.
- Support recruiting efforts with the corporate recruiter, helping to bring great talent on board.
- Compile and submit employee benefits paperwork to corporate HR, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
**What You Bring**
You’re bilingual in English and French (fluent, not just conversational), and you have at least two years of related experience—ideally in a manufacturing environment. A high school diploma is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience works too.
- You’re personable and outgoing, able to talk with diverse groups of people without breaking a sweat.
- You know your way around general office admin and clerical procedures, and you’re a pro with Microsoft Office—especially Excel.
- Dependability is your middle name: you show up on time, consistently, and ready to work.
- You’ve got strong organizational and time management skills, and you can juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball.
- Multi-tasking? No problem. You can handle several projects at once while keeping your cool.
- You’re a team player who can follow written and verbal instructions, and you know how to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility is key—you adapt quickly to changing demands.
- Experience with ADP software is a plus, and knowledge of Canadian employment law is a bonus.
