**Your Mission:**
You will be the driving force behind engineering excellence across our plants. This means leading and inspiring multidisciplinary engineering teams, collaborating seamlessly with Operations, Safety, and HR to achieve bold company goals, and owning the strategic planning and execution of our capital and maintenance budgets. You’ll turn complex data into actionable strategies, optimizing asset utilization and longevity while ensuring we meet stringent quality and customer standards every day.
**What You Will Do:**
* Provide clear direction and leadership to engineering teams, developing talent and enforcing best practices to build a diverse, high-performing workforce.
* Own the creation and implementation of both short-term operational plans and long-term strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
* Manage multi-million-dollar Capital and Maintenance budgets with precision, delivering projects on time and on budget.
* Analyze asset performance data to model optimal replacement timing and develop methods to extend asset life.
* Ensure all facilities and processes comply with internal standards and external regulations, including critical ammonia refrigeration systems.
* Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify and implement strategies that elevate our operational performance.
**You Bring:**
* A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* A proven track record of at least 10+ years in engineering management, with 5+ years in a formal leadership role developing teams.
* Hands-on experience in a prior engineering role within the food industry (meat industry background is a significant plus).
* Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-million-dollar CapEx projects.
* Specific experience with Ammonia Refrigeration systems is required.
* A Professional Engineer (PE) license is a valuable asset.
**Compensation & Location:**
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position in Newport News, Virginia, offering a competitive annual salary of $165,000 - $210,000, plus a flat-rate bonus structure.
