Process Controls Engineer

📍 Lexington, Kentucky 💰 $115,000 - $135,000 🏢 Full Time
**Process Controls Engineer | Lexington, KY**

**About This Opportunity**
Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives on variety, solving different challenges every day? Imagine stepping into a pivotal role at a globally established, 45-year-old manufacturing leader that’s in the midst of a major technological transformation. We’re automating our future, and we need your expertise to build it. This is your chance to be a key player in modernizing regional facilities, working with cutting-edge systems, and shaping the path toward advanced robotics. If you’re tired of the same routine and want a mix of desk engineering and field action, this role was made for you.

**What You Will Be Doing**
You will be the go-to expert for process control and automation across several key manufacturing plants, primarily within our Lexington region, with additional support for sites in North Carolina and Georgia. Your work will be dynamic—one day you might be designing control strategies at your desk, and the next you’ll be on the plant floor commissioning a system or troubleshooting during a startup. You’ll program and integrate PLCs, develop SCADA interfaces, and lay the groundwork for the robotic systems of tomorrow. With average travel around 20% (sometimes more during exciting startup phases), you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible impact at multiple locations, with occasional international travel also a possibility.

**You Bring the Following Expertise**
* A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, but we will strongly consider candidates with equivalent, demonstrable experience.
* At least 5 years of hands-on process control experience within a manufacturing environment (chemicals, food, consumer goods, industrial products, etc.).
* Solid experience programming and writing code for PLC systems; proficiency with Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms is ideal.
* A background in process control design and a practical understanding of how to translate process needs into automated solutions.
* Experience with SCADA Ignition and FANUC Robotics is a significant advantage.
* A willingness and enthusiasm for travel as the role requires.

**Why You'll Love This Role**
Forget the monotony. Here, your projects and challenges will constantly evolve. You’ll enjoy a perfect balance between technical design work and boots-on-the-ground implementation. You’re not just maintaining the status quo; you’re helping a mature, worldwide company leap into the next era of manufacturing intelligence. We offer a competitive salary of **$115,000 - $135,000 per year** and a career path defined by growth, variety, and real impact.
