Project Manager – Utility-Renewable Energy
📍 Columbia, South Carolina
💰 $120,000 - $150,000
🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another project management role—it’s your chance to own the full lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects that actually move the needle on clean energy. At KnowHireMatch.com, we’re partnering with a premier full-service EPC contractor that’s been quietly delivering some of the most ambitious solar PV, BESS, and wind developments in the country. They need a strategic, results-driven leader who can take a 100 MW+ project from blueprint to commissioning and make it look seamless. If you’re ready to lead high-visibility work that matters, this is your shot.
**What You’ll Do**
You will take ownership of major utility-scale renewable energy projects (100 MW+), guiding them from initial planning through engineering, procurement, construction, and final commissioning. You’ll be the central hub—the person clients, contractors, regulators, and internal teams all turn to for clarity, direction, and results.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, detailed schedules, budgets, and resource strategies that align with both client goals and company standards.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning—keeping everyone rowing in the same direction.
- Maintain full financial oversight: control costs, perform variance analyses, and drive measures to optimize profitability without cutting corners.
- Identify risks early and implement mitigation and contingency plans that keep projects on track.
- Manage all permitting, licensing, and regulatory approvals, ensuring full compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, investors, local communities, and business partners—because trust is the foundation of every successful project.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility at every phase.
- Deliver timely, transparent progress reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
**What You Bring**
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus). You bring 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically leading utility-scale renewable energy projects—solar, wind, or storage. Your track record shows you can deliver large EPC projects on time and within budget, while keeping safety and quality front and center. You’re a natural communicator who can navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, and you thrive on the challenge of turning ambitious clean energy plans into reality.
