# Senior Civil Engineer – Federal Projects
**Location:** Conyers, Georgia
**Compensation:** $80,000 – $100,000 per year
## About This Opportunity
This isn’t just another engineering role — it’s your chance to take ownership of meaningful work that shapes communities. You’ll lead site development and infrastructure projects from concept through construction, all while mentoring the next generation of engineers and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that actually values your input. If you’re ready to bring your technical expertise to a firm that invests in your growth, this is the place.
## What You’ll Do
You’ll be the driving force behind civil engineering design for site development, infrastructure, grading, drainage, and utility systems. From day one, you’ll prepare and review engineering plans, calculations, specifications, and technical reports — and you’ll oversee project execution to make sure quality, schedule, and budget stay on track.
You’ll coordinate closely with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle. That means you’re not just behind a desk — you’re in the conversation, solving problems, and keeping things moving. You’ll also perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater management systems, ensuring every design meets applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
Mentorship is a big part of this role. You’ll guide junior engineers and designers, offering technical direction and quality oversight that helps them grow — and that makes the whole team stronger.
You’ll also participate in QA/QC reviews and support proposal development as needed. Every project is a chance to leave your mark.
## What You Bring
- **Bachelor’s degree** in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- **Professional Engineer (PE) license** — non-negotiable
- **8–10 years** of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and infrastructure
- **Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D** and related civil engineering software
- A solid understanding of **local, state, and federal permitting processes**
- Experience working on **federal projects**? That’s a big plus — and we’d love to hear about it
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills — you know how to get things done without burning bridges
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing your cool
