BMS / BAS Hardware Engineer
📍 Rocky Hill, Connecticut
đź’° $60,000 - $108,000
🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
KnowHireMatch is partnering with a global leader in smart building and HVAC control solutions to find a BMS Hardware Engineer who thrives on bringing complex systems to life. This isn’t just a desk job—you’ll be hands-on from design through commissioning, working across Connecticut and Western Massachusetts to make buildings smarter, more efficient, and more comfortable. If you love the blend of engineering precision and real-world problem-solving, this is your next move.
**What You’ll Do**
You will own the hardware design and control system programming for HVAC and building automation projects. Starting from project requirements, you’ll pull from standard design libraries to create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bills of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics. Your coding will follow established engineering standards, and you’ll coordinate the development of drawings and equipment schedules needed for submittals and installation.
You’ll select, order, and track materials for your projects, coordinating factory-mounted components to keep everything on schedule. When it’s time to bring the system to life, you’ll assist with startup activities—loading and commissioning system-level controllers and network devices. You’ll validate functionality, troubleshoot alongside subcontractors and other trades, and ensure everything operates as designed. Field changes happen; you’ll collect them and update as-built drawings and software documentation. You’ll also prepare operation manuals, provide site-specific training for owners and operators, and keep project managers and customers in the loop on progress and technical issues. Expect to complete time sheets, expense reports, and field reports, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
