Project Engineer

📍 Nashville, Tennessee 💰 $110,000 - $140,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
At KnowHireMatch, we believe the best engineering happens when creativity meets structure. This isn’t just another project management role—it’s a chance to shape the built environment of Nashville and beyond. You’ll join a highly regarded structural design and engineering firm that values your growth as much as your output. If you’re ready to lead projects from concept to completion, collaborate with a team that actually listens, and enjoy a culture that respects your life outside the office, keep reading.

**Your Role**
You’ll own the full project lifecycle—from preliminary design through final drawings, calculations, and construction administration. That means you’ll prepare engineering analyses for a diverse portfolio: general commercial and mixed-use spaces, industrial and manufacturing facilities, schools, higher education buildings, and medical centers. Your work will span new structures, repair and analysis of existing damaged buildings, and adaptive reuse projects that breathe new life into old spaces. You’ll also travel to sites and manage client relationships, so bring your communication skills and a willingness to see your designs in the real world.

**What You’ll Do**
- Lead engineering analysis from preliminary design to final drawings and calculations
- Oversee drafting teams, providing guidance to ensure plans reflect your design intent
- Coordinate with outside design teams and contractors—you’re the bridge between vision and execution
- Review plans for compliance with engineering standards and best practices
- Incorporate feedback from supervisors to sharpen your skills and eventually lead your own projects
- Juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines (you’ll get good at this fast)
- Select and apply appropriate standard details, and markup, layout, and redline details for simpler projects
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple offices—you’re part of a larger team
- Learn specs and construction administration processes for every project you touch

**What You Bring**
- A PE or SE license (non-negotiable)
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 4+ years of project and design experience
- Proficiency with industry-standard software: Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM), RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, or similar
- Revit experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll help you grow

**Why This Opportunity Stands Out**
This firm doesn’t just talk about work-life balance—they live it. You’ll receive 100% company-paid benefits, 3 weeks of vacation in your first year, plus 9 paid holidays. The culture emphasizes continual learning and growth, so you’ll never feel stuck. And with a compensation range of **$110,000–$140,000 per year**, your expertise is valued from day one.
