Maintenance Supervisor

📍 Mississauga, Ontario 💰 $90,000 - $125,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another maintenance supervisor role—it’s a chance to build something lasting. A well-established North American leader in packaged and convenience foods is expanding in the GTA, and they’ve created a brand-new position at their Mississauga facility. They’re investing in reliability, upgrading equipment, and building a team that values stability over turnover. If you’re a hands-on leader who wants to stay close to the floor, lead a unionized crew, and drive real improvements without burning out, this is your next move.

**Your Mission**
You’ll own the first shift, leading a team of skilled technicians in a high-speed, production-driven environment. Your days will be a mix of strategy and action—setting expectations, solving complex problems, and keeping the lines running. Here’s what you’ll actually do:

- Lead a unionized maintenance team with daily, visible engagement—setting the tone, not just the schedule
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs that cut downtime and boost asset reliability
- Plan labor coverage, manage schedules, and handle workforce planning so the team is always ready
- Coach and mentor technicians, reinforcing safety and quality standards every step of the way
- Partner with production and engineering on equipment upgrades and capital projects that shape the future of the plant
- Step in on tough mechanical and electrical troubleshooting when the situation calls for it
- Drive continuous improvement through better planning, documentation, and standard work practices

**What You Bring**
You’re not just a manager—you’re a leader who knows the trade. Here’s what we’re looking for:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a closely related field)
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in food, packaged goods, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Proven experience working with a unionized maintenance team—this is non-negotiable
- Strong hands-on skills in both mechanical and electrical systems (you can diagnose, repair, and teach)
- A track record of coaching, holding teams accountable, and driving results in a structured, fast-paced setting
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills—you can talk to production, engineering, and the floor with equal ease

**Compensation & Perks**
$90,000–$125,000 per year, based on experience and education. This is a first-shift role designed for longevity, not burnout—so you get the leadership challenge you want with the work-life balance you deserve.
