**What You’ll Do**
You will lead the clinical, operational, and fiscal performance of our surgical units—owning everything from long-term strategy to daily execution. Your voice will carry weight across the campus as you mentor clinical managers, champion evidence-based leadership, and build strong bridges between nursing staff and physicians. Specifically, you’ll:
- **Develop and execute long-term plans** aligned with hospital goals, communicating priorities clearly and making course corrections to keep your teams on track.
- **Oversee multiple departments and teams**, ensuring results meet functional objectives while managing resources wisely.
- **Take ownership of financial stewardship**—establishing and justifying departmental budgets, then holding your leadership team accountable for hitting targets and using resources efficiently.
- **Drive quality and regulatory compliance** by leading Performance Improvement initiatives and maintaining constant readiness for surveys and audits.
- **Act as the primary liaison for physician relations**, resolving staff and patient grievances, and collaborating cross-functionally to solve complex challenges.
- **Mentor your leadership team** in personnel management, change initiatives, and staff education—fostering a culture of evidence-based practice and professional growth.
**What You Bring**
You’re a proven nurse leader with a blend of clinical depth and strategic savvy. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- **Education:** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) highly preferred.
- **Licensure:** Active RN license in the State of Texas.
- **Certification:** Current AHA BLS certification.
- **Experience:** At least 5 years of nursing management experience (Manager level or above), plus a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in surgical nursing.
- **Skills:** Strong clinical acumen, budget management expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, physicians, and frontline staff.
