**Shape the Flow of Production in Waterloo**

**About This Opportunity:**

You’re the bridge between design and reality, the organizer who ensures complex metal parts move from blueprint to finished product smoothly and efficiently. We’re seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist to become the central nervous system for production in our Waterloo, Iowa facility. This is your chance to own the process, eliminate bottlenecks, and directly impact the quality and cost of what we build. **Your Mission:**

You will be the go-to expert for establishing and optimizing how we manufacture. This means diving into the details of metal fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly to design the most effective production path. You’ll translate engineering designs into actionable instructions for our teams, ensuring every step is clear, safe, and cost-effective.

A key part of your role involves collaborating. You’ll partner closely with Engineering and Purchasing to assess and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), seeing them through to completion. You’ll also work directly with Manufacturing to create and update standard routings, work instructions for complex parts, and shop paperwork—all to keep workflows seamless.

Your mindset will be one of continuous improvement. You will actively identify opportunities on both new and existing products to enhance quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Applying lean manufacturing principles, you’ll help us reduce waste and build better.

**What You Bring:**

* A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with metal fabrication, machining, weld, and assembly processes.
* Proficiency in reading blueprints and a solid understanding of engineering drawings, including GD&T dimensioning.
* The proven ability to establish production routings, methods, layouts, and labor estimates.
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a significant plus.
* Project management experience is beneficial.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of thriving in a team-based environment.
* A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but equivalent relevant experience is highly valued.

**Location & Compensation:**

This is a full-time, on-site position based in **Waterloo, Iowa**. We offer a competitive annual salary of **$60,000 - $75,000**, commensurate with your experience.
