**Your Mission: The Core of Our Financial Operations**

In this vital role, you’ll be the go-to expert for a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and integrity across the board. You’ll report to the Accounting Manager and dive into the details that keep our firm on solid financial footing.

**What You’ll Do**

You will manage a dynamic mix of responsibilities, including:

**Accounts Payable & Vendor Management:** You’ll review, code, and process vendor invoices in Aderant, manage the full payment cycle, and handle sales tax and 1099 eligibility. You’ll also process expense reimbursements in Chrome River and be a key player in our annual 1099 process.

**General Ledger & Analysis:** You’ll prepare journal entries, assist with matter maintenance in our accounting system, and create insightful monthly account analyses and schedules.

**Accounts Receivable & Client Funds:** You’ll help record incoming client payments, investigate missing remittances, and manage sensitive escrow/trust activity—preparing weekly reconciliations with utmost care.

**Payroll Support:** You’ll input and review payroll data in Ceridian Dayforce, act as a backup for transmission, and assist with annual W-2 reviews.

Beyond these core areas, you’ll be a proactive problem-solver. You’ll back up daily cash reporting, identify opportunities for process improvement, and tackle special projects that help us work smarter.

**You Bring the Expertise**

* A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 3+ years of solid, hands-on accounting experience.
* A strong, foundational understanding of accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Aderant, Chrome River, or Ceridian Dayforce is a significant plus.
* A detail-oriented, ownership mindset and the communication skills to collaborate effectively in a professional environment.

**The Details**

This is a hybrid position based in our Uniondale, NY office. After an initial training period of approximately 4 weeks in-office, you’ll enjoy a schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.

We offer a competitive salary of **$70,000 - $90,000 per year**, adjusted based on your experience and qualifications.
