Maintenance Technician

📍 Bridgeport, Connecticut 💰 $41 - $65 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another maintenance role. It’s a chance to own the heartbeat of a power plant in Bridgeport, Connecticut—where your hands keep the steam flowing, the turbines turning, and the systems humming. If you’re a technician who thrives on diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical puzzles, and you’re ready to bring your 5+ years of experience to a team that values precision and initiative, this is your next move.

**What You’ll Do Here**
You’ll be the go-to person for keeping everything—from plant mechanical and electrical equipment to instrumentation, controls, buildings, grounds, and vehicles—running at peak performance. That means you’ll:

- Diagnose and repair plant-wide electrical systems, electronic instrumentation, and control systems, including Siemens T3000 hardware and software. You’ll read meters, gauges, and automatic devices to track temperature, vibration, pressure, fluid levels, and hours of operation. Water chemistry knowledge? Essential. Calibration skills? Non-negotiable. Troubleshooting analyzers? You’ll own it.
- Execute preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders through the CMMS (Maximo). You’ll document everything, track inventory, and ensure no part or material is out of place.
- Support the storeroom—issuing parts, putting materials in their designated spots, researching and sourcing what’s needed, and handling shipping and receiving. You’ll keep the warehouse organized and the plant supplied.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to shape technical plans and ensure every repair aligns with plant goals. You’ll also participate in training programs and support the site’s Management of Change process.
- Maintain your tools and the inventory of materials and equipment assigned to you. No detail is too small when reliability is the standard.

**What You Bring**
- **5+ years** of hands-on maintenance experience in a power plant or heavy industrial environment.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems—plus the ability to diagnose control system issues on the fly.
- Familiarity with Siemens T3000 (or similar DCS platforms) is a strong plus.
- Comfort using Maximo or other CMMS software to log work and manage inventory.
- A proactive mindset: you don’t just fix what’s broken—you spot what’s about to break and head it off.
- A willingness to report to the Maintenance Manager or designee as needed, and to jump into warehouse assignments when the plant calls for it.

**Compensation & Location**
This is a full-time role based in **Bridgeport, Connecticut**. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience—details will be shared during the interview process.
