**Maintenance Superintendent (2nd Shift)**

**Your Mission:**

You will be the key leader ensuring our 2nd shift maintenance operations meet daily targets and exceed expectations. This means driving operational efficiency and profitability by monitoring yields and taking smart, corrective actions. You’ll manage staffing and maintenance schedules to optimize resources without compromising customer needs.

Safety is non-negotiable. You’ll develop and champion safety and ergonomic programs, training your team on safe practices, identifying hazards, and relentlessly pursuing an injury-free workplace. You’ll also be the guardian of our quality, upholding stringent sanitation and product standards to comply with both USDA and internal regulations.

A big part of your role is people leadership. You’ll provide strong, daily guidance on the production floor, keeping teams motivated and focused. Through regular line meetings and hands-on coaching, you’ll train supervisors and employees on policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives that boost both team performance and plant efficiency.

**What You Bring:**

* A Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on know-how.
* Proven experience as a lead—training, coaching, or mentoring others, or managing critical processes and projects.
* A required background in food manufacturing, with a strong preference for experience in meat processing or harvest/kill floor environments.
* Direct technical experience working with PLCs and Ammonia Refrigeration systems.
* Proficiency with key computer applications, including time-keeping systems, SAP, and the Microsoft Office suite.
* A willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

**Location & Compensation:**

This role is based at our facility in Denison, Iowa. We offer a competitive annual salary of $100,000 - $130,000, plus bonus potential, recognizing the critical expertise and leadership you provide.
