IC&E Technician

📍 Fresno, California 💰 $45 - $60 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another maintenance role. It’s a chance to own the electrical and control systems that keep a power plant running—and to do it in Fresno, where the work is hands-on, the team is tight, and every day brings a new puzzle to solve. If you’re the kind of technician who reads schematics like a novel and treats a 230kV system with the same respect as a handheld multimeter, we want to talk.

**Your Role**
As our IC&E Technician, you’ll be the go-to person for everything that hums, switches, or signals. You’ll inspect, repair, test, adjust, install, and remove all electronic and electrical equipment—from motors and generators to transformers, switches, and control systems. You’ll work with voltages up to 18kV daily, and occasionally up to 230kV under direction. You’ll troubleshoot gas turbines, CEMS, and auxiliary gear, and you’ll keep our emergency backup systems ready for anything.

**What You’ll Do**
- Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and emergency systems, following all permits and procedures to the letter.
- Maintain complete equipment files, logs, and drawings—because a good record is as important as a good repair.
- Forecast and reorder spare parts to keep plant reliability high; you’ll also help with physical inventories and shipping/receiving.
- Issue and manage safety permits: JHA’s, Hot Work, Confined Space, LOTO, and Safe Work Permits. You’ll own the control authority for safety during outages.
- Consult manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and collaborate with engineering to solve complex issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, electrical/electronic testing devices, and basic office machines.
- Record and compile data, complete forms and logs, and ensure required inspections happen on schedule.

**What You Bring**
- 3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, controls, and electrical work—preferably in a power plant or heavy industrial setting.
- A high level of skill with motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, signal systems, and storage batteries.
- Comfort with electrical systems up to 18kV (and the ability to work up to 230kV under direction).
- The ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- A safety-first mindset: you understand LOTO, confined space, hot work, and JHA processes inside and out.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining records, logs, and spare parts inventory.
- A team player attitude—you’ll take on other duties as needed and support your crew.

**Compensation**
Competitive pay based on experience, plus a full benefits package.

**Location**
Fresno, California—onsite at the power plant.
