Director of Operations

📍 Fresno, California 💰 $225,000 - $240,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**

This isn’t just another operations role. It’s a builder’s challenge. You’ll be the architect of a centralized operations model for a multi-site generation fleet that has historically operated independently. If you thrive on creating order from autonomy, designing systems that scale, and shaping a team’s culture from the ground up, this is your chance to leave a real mark. You’ll report directly to the Vice President of Operations and have the mandate—and the resources—to build something that lasts.

**What You’ll Own in the First 12–24 Months**

Your primary mission is to stand up and scale fleet-wide operations functions. That means you’ll start by assessing current site practices, capabilities, and performance across the portfolio. From there, you’ll design and deploy a centralized operations model that consolidates and standardizes disparate site-level practices into a single, cohesive program.

You’ll build a performance management cadence that aligns every site around safety, availability, cost, and compliance. You’ll develop the Plant Manager group, aligning leadership expectations and creating a culture of accountability. And you’ll create an integration playbook to seamlessly onboard future acquisitions—so the systems you build today can absorb tomorrow’s growth.

**The Technical & Leadership Requirements You Bring**

- A Bachelor of Science in engineering (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in power generation operations and maintenance, with at least 3 of those years as a Plant Manager or equivalent multi-site leadership role
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to be based in Fresno, CA (relocation support is available)

**Why This Role Is Different**

You won’t just manage existing processes—you’ll design them. You’ll standardize core O&M processes into a single fleet-wide program, then partner with engineering, safety, finance, and HR to make sure those standards stick. You’ll be the person who turns a collection of independent plants into a unified, high-performing fleet.
