Director of Service & Parts (Mining)
📍 Englewood, Colorado

🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
If you thrive at the intersection of heavy industry and strategic growth, this is your chance to take the reins of a Service & Parts operation that powers the backbone of modern mining. At KnowHireMatch.com, we’re looking for a leader who doesn’t just manage—who builds, expands, and owns the aftermarket strategy for a company deeply rooted in bulk material handling. You’ll be the person who turns a service call into a long-term partnership, and a spare part into a million-dollar retrofit project. This isn’t a desk job. It’s a boots-on-the-ground, mine-site-level role where your decisions drive revenue, safety, and customer loyalty.
**The Role: Director of Service & Parts (Mining)**
You will define and execute the company’s After Sales growth strategy across the mining and material handling sectors. That means you’ll grow spare parts revenue, expand service offerings, and uncover retrofit, modernization, and machine conversion opportunities for everything from conveyors to crushers.
You’ll maintain a strong presence at mine sites—think copper, gold, and coal operations—where you’ll identify new business, strengthen relationships, and build networks of representatives and distributors. You’ll also pursue service opportunities on competitor equipment, because market share is there for the taking.
**What You’ll Lead**
You’ll oversee the Service Department in all field operations, including:
- Mine-site inspections and installation support
- Commissioning, startup activities, and equipment testing
- Maintenance support and technical troubleshooting
- Customer operation and maintenance training
You’ll also assist with functional specifications, assembly documentation, and equipment refurbishment programs. You’ll monitor installation quality and assembly methods to ensure compliance with approved procedures, and you’ll promote safe work practices that meet OSHA and MSHA standards.
**How You’ll Collaborate**
You’ll work closely with engineering teams, providing field feedback and recommendations for equipment improvements and design modifications. You’ll recommend updates to drawings, registers, and documentation as needed. And you’ll support ongoing business development by identifying opportunities and helping secure new projects and clients.
**What You Bring**
You have deep experience in the mining or bulk material handling industry, with a proven track record of growing aftermarket service and parts revenue. You’re comfortable at a mine site, talking maintenance with a superintendent one minute and pitching a retrofit to a VP the next. You know how to lead a team, build a distributor network, and turn a service visit into a long-term contract.
**Compensation & Location**
This role is based in **Englewood, Colorado**, with a compensation range of **$120,000 to $175,000 per year**, depending on experience.
