If you’re the kind of person who sees a system failure as a puzzle to solve, not a problem to report, this role is built for you.
**Your Mission**
You will lead a team of I&C technicians, guiding them through the inspection, repair, and rebuilding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Your days will be a mix of boots-on-the-ground oversight and strategic thinking—ensuring every component, from a PLC to a 480V breaker, performs at its peak.
**What You’ll Do**
- Conduct System Condition Assessments to uncover hidden deficiencies, then drive corrective actions that stick.
- Use industry-standard software to analyze performance data and create plans that boost availability and reliability.
- Jump into project planning and construction—reviewing scopes, walking down designs, and ensuring code and procedure compliance before the first bolt is turned.
- Plan and support major component overhauls and system outages, keeping the team on track and the timeline tight.
- Lead root cause analyses when forced outages or failures happen—turning breakdowns into blueprints for improvement.
- Interface with equipment and service providers, tracking their work and holding them to your standards.
- Document and correct unplanned design basis changes before they become bigger problems.
- Generate or review acceptance test plans, then oversee testing to ensure everything works as designed.
- Maintain and review design basis documentation—your team’s source of truth.
- Create detailed reports and presentations that guide capital planning and inform leadership.
- Provide engineering support to station management, and represent the organization on committees tackling key issues.
- Build and maintain clear, effective communication across internal teams and external partners.
**What You Bring**

- Deep understanding of plant control system design, construction, operations, maintenance, testing, or analysis—ideally in utilities, oil & gas, or marine propulsion.
- Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, BMS, low voltage switchgear, breakers, power cables (up to 480V), UPS, and MCCs.
- Working knowledge of equipment sizing, life cycle management, protection schemes, relay settings, and PLC programming.
- Either a current license or the ability to obtain one—no exceptions.
**Compensation**
