Pharmacist needed for a new Home Infusion facility in Suffolk, VA!

📍 Suffolk, Virginia 💰 Competitive 🏢 Full Time
# Staff Pharmacist – Home Infusion Facility
**Location:** Suffolk, VA | **Full-Time**

## About This Opportunity

This isn’t just another pharmacy role. You’ll be stepping into a brand-new home infusion facility in Suffolk, Virginia—one where you’ll have real ownership over pharmacy operations from day one. If you’re an infusion pharmacist who thrives on clinical decision-making, leading a team, and building processes that keep patients safe and referrals flowing, this is your chance to shape something from the ground up.

## What You’ll Do

You’ll serve as the clinical and operational backbone of the pharmacy. That means you’ll evaluate prescriber orders with a sharp clinical eye, compound sterile preparations with precision, and dispense medications, supplies, and administration equipment safely and efficiently. But your role goes beyond the cleanroom.

You’ll also:
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy support personnel, setting the standard for accuracy and compliance
- Lead quality control and performance improvement initiatives—because you know that great outcomes come from great processes
- Collaborate directly with referral sources, physicians, and patients, ensuring every interaction reflects the highest level of care
- Report to the pharmacy owner(s), giving you direct access to decision-makers and the autonomy to make real changes

This is a leadership/management position. You won’t just fill orders—you’ll shape how the pharmacy runs.

## What You Bring

**Required:**
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy
- Strong interpersonal skills—you can talk to employees, referral sources, physicians, and patients with equal clarity and respect

**Preferred (and we really mean preferred):**
- Three (3) years of clinical pharmacy experience
- At least one (1) year of hands-on experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding
- Formal sterile compounding training
- Experience managing pharmacy support personnel (technicians, interns, etc.)

Home infusion experience is strongly preferred. If you’ve worked in a home infusion setting before, you already know the pace, the protocols, and the patient-first mindset we’re looking for.
