Based at our plant in the southwest Atlanta metro area, you'll be the key technical force behind our manufacturing processes, turning product specifications into reality.

You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and become the cornerstone of our production excellence. Your core mission is to plan, design, and optimize our manufacturing processes. This means analyzing equipment layout, workflow, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency. You’ll determine the necessary parts and tools to achieve our manufacturing goals, ensuring we meet product specifications with precision and ingenuity.

**Your Day-to-Day Impact:**

* You will design innovative production tooling and fixtures using 2D & 3D software, with a strong emphasis on SolidWorks.
* You’ll implement productivity improvements on current production lines and perform root cause analysis on failures using statistical methods and Lean tools.
* Taking ownership, you will design and implement production processes for new products and design changes to existing ones.
* You’ll perform FMEAs and review product designs for manufacturability, ensuring optimal processing from the start.
* As a collaborative leader, you’ll participate in and lead cross-functional teams, design review meetings, and exercises in design of experiments, lean manufacturing, and ROI analysis.
* Your role is hands-on and comprehensive: creating work instructions, managing spare parts inventories, and spearheading the implementation of advanced systems including automation, robotics, vision systems, PLC controls integration, end-of-arm tooling, and custom machine design.

**You Bring the Expertise:**

* A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) and 10+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer within a heavy manufacturing environment, specifically foundry.
* Proven proficiency in 3D modeling software, specifically SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office.
* Demonstrated, hands-on tooling design experience is a must.
* Strong project management experience, with a track record of running projects in their entirety from conception to completion.
* Practical automation experience that includes robotics and PLCs.
