**About This Opportunity:**

You’re not just placing traces and vias; you’re architecting the physical foundation of advanced electronics. We’re seeking a PCB Layout Designer to join a specialized team in Rochester, NY, where you’ll transform complex schematics into reliable, high-performance rigid, flex, and rigid-flex boards. **You will:**

* Utilize Mentor PADS software as your primary tool to integrate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing requirements into elegant PCB layouts.
* Partner closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to resolve design for fabrication, assembly, and test (DFx) issues, leveraging Valor NPI checks.
* Own the design package integrity, ensuring perfect alignment between schematics, BOMs, mechanical drawings, and the final layout.
* Maintain meticulous documentation and PLM file structure, updating all design files to reflect engineering changes and revisions.

**You bring:**

* A Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant PCB layout experience, OR a Graduate degree with 2+ years, OR 8+ years of direct experience in lieu of a degree.
* Proficiency with PCB design software; direct experience with Mentor PADS is highly valued, and experience with tools like Xpedition, Cadence, or Valor is a strong plus.
* A comprehensive understanding of the entire PCB design ecosystem: schematic, BOM, mechanical constraints, fabrication, and assembly processes.
* Experience working within a structured PLM environment (e.g., Agile, Teamcenter) is preferred.
* U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
