# Process Engineer – Chemicals
**Location:** Bend, Oregon
**Compensation:** $100,000 – $120,000 per year
**Experience:** 3+ years

## About This Opportunity

Imagine working in a high-purity batch chemical facility where your decisions shape production, quality, and future growth. This isn’t a role where you’re stuck behind a desk all day. You’ll be on the plant floor, collaborating with a tight-knit team of engineers and scientists, and your fingerprints will be on everything from process optimization to capital projects. If you’re ready to wear multiple hats, solve real-world problems, and grow with a company that’s expanding fast, this is your next move.

## What You’ll Do

You’ll join a 100-person facility in Central Oregon, where every day brings a new challenge. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Process optimization and improvement** – You’ll analyze current operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement changes that boost efficiency and yield.
- **Troubleshooting** – When something goes wrong, you’re the one who digs into the data, runs root-cause analysis, and finds a fix.
- **Quality engineering** – You’ll work closely with quality teams to ensure product consistency and compliance, using your knowledge of PSM standards.
- **New product launches** – From testing to scale-up, you’ll help bring new chemistries from the lab to full production.
- **Capital project support** – You’ll collaborate on equipment upgrades, expansions, and process redesigns, contributing your technical insight to major investments.

You’ll work in a PSM-regulated environment, so familiarity with those standards is essential. And because this is a collaborative team, you’ll regularly present findings, lead discussions, and help make decisions that affect the whole plant.

## What You Bring

- **A B.S. in Chemical Engineering** – this is non-negotiable.
- **3–5 years of post-college industry experience** in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or a closely related field.
- **Experience in a PSM-regulated environment** – or at least a solid understanding of PSM standards.
- **Bonus points** if you’ve worked with PLC or DCS control systems.
- **Strong communication skills** – you can explain complex technical concepts to operators, managers, and cross-functional teams.
- **A team-first mindset** – you have a proven track record of collaborating effectively and building trust.

## Why This Role Stands Out

This isn’t a narrow, siloed position. You’ll have a stake in decisions that matter, and your ideas will be heard. The company is growing, which means real opportunities for advancement.
