**Your Mission**
You will take ownership of the entire avionics system lifecycle. This means reviewing customer requests and formulating feasible design changes, analyzing proposals for feasibility and cost, and serving as a key technical interface. You’ll dive into hands-on integration work to verify functionality and develop testing tools. A core part of your role will be ensuring designs conform to strict engineering principles, customer specs, and quality standards, while supporting both new development and legacy product lines.
Your expertise will be critical in several key areas:
* Leading system/software integration and developing testing applications.
* Supporting ground and flight testing for avionics systems.
* Contributing to system safety assessments, including FMEAs, fault tree analyses, and functional hazard assessments.
* Defining system requirements and conducting performance analysis through modeling.
* Navigating FAA and other certification processes, providing direct support for TSO and STC projects.
**What You Bring**
* A Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (a Master’s is a plus).
* At least 5 years of hands-on avionics engineering experience.
* A deep understanding of the avionics certification landscape.
* The ability to translate complex customer needs into reliable, manufacturable designs.
* A collaborative spirit and the skill to communicate technical concepts clearly.
**Location & Compensation**
This is an onsite position in Mineral Wells, TX, with relocation assistance available. We offer a competitive salary range of **$85,000 - $125,000** per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
