Litigation Associate - Business Litigation

📍 St. Louis,, Missouri 💰 $150,000 - $200,000 🏢 Full Time
**About This Opportunity**
This isn’t just another associate role. It’s a chance to own complex business disputes from day one—where your strategy shapes outcomes, your voice is heard in the war room, and your work directly impacts high-stakes clients. If you’re ready to step beyond “supporting” and into leading, this St. Louis-based position with KnowHireMatch is where you’ll build a career, not just a resume.

**What You’ll Do**
You’ll take the reins on business litigation cases from the first filing to the final verdict. That means you’re not just drafting motions—you’re driving the narrative. You’ll:

- Manage the full lifecycle of cases, from initial pleadings through trial preparation, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for discovery, motion practice, and trial—thinking three steps ahead, not just reacting.
- Attend and actively participate in depositions, settlement conferences, and critical hearings. You’ll be the one asking the tough questions and making the key arguments.
- Draft persuasive motions, discovery responses, and detailed client reports that translate complex legal issues into actionable insights.
- Prepare for trial by building case strategies, conducting deep-dive discovery, reviewing records, interviewing clients, and prepping witnesses to deliver under pressure.

**What You Bring**
You’ve spent at least six years in the trenches of litigation, with a sharp focus on business disputes. You know the rules of civil procedure like the back of your hand—and you’ve got the scars to prove it. Specifically:

- **6+ years** of litigation experience, with a heavy emphasis on business litigation (contracts, partnerships, trade secrets, or commercial torts).
- Proven expertise in taking and defending depositions—you’re comfortable in the hot seat and know how to get the truth on the record.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You don’t just spot issues; you craft creative, winning solutions.
- Superior written and verbal communication. You can argue a motion in court, then explain the same complex concept to a client in plain English.

**Why This Role?**
You’ll join a collaborative team that values your judgment and gives you real ownership—not just assignments. The work is challenging, the stakes are high, and the reward is both professional growth and a competitive compensation package.

**Compensation:** $150,000 – $200,000 per year, based on experience.
