**Your Mission:**
You will be the on-shift leader responsible for the safe, compliant, and optimized operation of our facility. Your core mission is to execute the Operating Plan, identify areas for improvement, and ensure we meet dispatch outputs at the highest value. You’ll blend hands-on operational expertise with coaching and direction for your team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability.
**A Day in Your Role:**
* You champion safety above all, promoting a healthy work environment and ensuring strict adherence to PPE, programs, and procedures for employees and contractors.
* You direct, coach, and develop Plant Operators to achieve optimal megawatt output safely and in full environmental compliance.
* You set operational priorities for maintenance activities and use PI system data to optimize plant performance from a granular and big-picture perspective.
* You’ll oversee all operational activities, reviewing data, logs, and water chemistry analyses to ensure systems run within ideal specifications.
* When abnormal or emergency conditions arise, you take decisive corrective action and report promptly to Plant Management.
* You provide crucial guidance to the Maintenance team on equipment conditions and needed work.
* You ensure environmental compliance, overseeing the QA/QC Manual and reporting any incidents or near misses immediately.
**You Bring:**
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience in plant operations, with proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
* A deep, ingrained commitment to safety and environmental protocols.
* The ability to analyze operational data (like PI system outputs) to drive decisions and efficiency.
* Strong coaching skills and the desire to develop a team’s technical and professional abilities.
* Excellent judgment under pressure, especially during plant upsets or emergencies.
* Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and the discretion to escalate HR issues appropriately.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement.
