**Your Mission: Trusted Advisor & Strategic Planner**
In this role, you will be the cornerstone for clients navigating elder care and legacy planning. You’ll step into a full-time, in-office position with a collaborative team, where your days will be both varied and deeply impactful.
Your core responsibilities will include advising clients on comprehensive estate planning, which means you’ll be preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives. You’ll counsel on sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, and tax planning to protect and perpetuate your clients' legacies.
A significant part of your work involves administration, where you will manage trusts and estates, handle probate proceedings and Surrogate’s Court filings, and address related litigation when necessary. You will also handle sensitive elder law matters, including Medicaid planning and applications.
Beyond the technical work, you will be the central coordinator, working alongside financial advisors and accountants to implement seamless plans. At the heart of it all is your ability to maintain and nurture ongoing client relationships, providing exceptional service that turns clients into lifelong partners.
**You Bring the Expertise**
To thrive in this position, you possess:
* A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
* At least 3 years of dedicated experience in trust and estate planning and administration.
* A strong, working knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law.
* Exceptional drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
