LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (MID-LEVEL)
Location: Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), CAHYBRID
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 international law firm, is seeking a talented mid-level Associate Attorney to join its dynamic and growing Labor & Employment Practice Group in Palo Alto. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a mix of sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters within a collegial, fast-paced, and nationally recognized practice.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
4+ years of substantive experience in employment law
Experience litigating employment disputes, with a strong interest in arbitration and trial work
Exposure to transactional employment work, including drafting policies, agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses
Skilled in conducting depositions, witness interviews, and discovery
Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance preferred
Experience assisting clients with workplace training programs and policy development is a plus
Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Team-oriented mindset with a client-focused approach
Key Responsibilities
Represent employers in employment litigation matters, including arbitration and trial
Draft and review employment-related agreements, workplace policies, and compliance documentation
Prepare EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and related filings
Manage discovery, including conducting depositions and witness interviews
Counsel employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws
Assist clients with the design and implementation of workplace policies, practices, and training programs
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and deliver practical, solutions-oriented client service
Maintain strong client relationships through responsive and effective communication

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary: Expected annual base salary starts at $275,000,+ as determined by experience and market factors
