Director of Strategy & Business Development (Distribution & Transportation Focus) Remote | Full-Time | U.S.-Based Candidates Only A global consulting firm is seeking a high-energy, research-driven business development professional to support growth efforts in the distribution and transportation sectors. This is a strategic, high-visibility role focused on building pipelines of high-potential targets, including C-level executives at PE-backed and independently owned companies, facing challenges related to supply chain disruption, margin pressure, and operational inefficiency. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify decision-makers and firmographics using CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and public data sources Build and maintain accurate CRM records across target accounts Generate market and company insights to support outreach campaigns and BD strategy Collaborate closely with senior Business Development leaders to refine targeting and track progress Support creation of outreach materials, call prep briefs, and campaign follow-ups Ideal Background: 3+ years in a business development, sales research, or lead generation role Experience supporting or selling into transportation, logistics, distribution, or private equity-backed companies Strong research, writing, and communication skills Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Dynamics 365, Salesforce) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator Bachelor’s degree required; supply chain, business, or finance background preferred This is a fully remote role offering a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity.
