Anesthesiologist (BC/BE)
Compensation: Total annual compensation approximately $550,000 + Sign-On/Retention Bonus
Job Type: Full-time. Day shift. Average 3–4 weekday call shifts per month.
Location: Rutland, Vermont
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well-established, collaborative anesthesia team serving as the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at a community hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive group of Anesthesiologists working alongside CAAs and CRNAs in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases
Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage hemodynamic stability
Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, CRNAs, and CAAs
Participate in shared weekday call schedule (3–4 shifts per month on average)
Ensure timely, accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards
Maintain compliance with regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
Eligible for or holding an active Vermont medical license
Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges
Current ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based anesthesia model
