Key Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and assessments to diagnose movement dysfunctions, review medical histories, and establish functional baselines. • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on restoring mobility, reducing pain, preventing disability, and promoting long-term recovery, including post-surgical rehabilitation. • Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, stretching, strengthening programs, and modalities to enhance patient function and alleviate discomfort. • Instruct and assist patients in the safe use of adaptive equipment (e.g., crutches, walkers, canes, wheelchairs) to improve independence and mobility. • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (physicians, nurses, occupational therapists) to monitor progress, adjust interventions, and ensure coordinated care. • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, safety strategies, and self-management techniques to support sustained outcomes. • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Qualifications and Requirements • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy considered with relevant experience. • Active, valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist and current registration in good standing. • Clinical experience in relevant settings (e.g., geriatric, outpatient, orthopedic, or post-acute rehabilitation) strongly preferred. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate patients, motivate adherence, and collaborate with healthcare professionals and families. • Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to evidence-based practice. • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
