LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
NON-PARTNERSHIP TRACK
Location: Boston, MA
HYBRID - Telecommuting arrangements may be considered from a home office located in Massachusetts, but Boston is preferred.
Our client, an international AmLaw 100 law firm, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Boston team in a salaried, non-partnership track role. This benefits-eligible position offers a reduced billable hour target (1400-1800) and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Candidate Profile
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing
5+ years of substantive labor & employment experience at a law firm of comparable rank
Extensive litigation experience, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, and handling hearings
Ability to confidently engage directly with clients and run cases independently, managing deadlines and overseeing case strategy
Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills, along with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation
Take and defend depositions and engage in motion practice
Draft discovery and other litigation-related documents, including memoranda, briefs, motions, and pleadings
Participate in trials and contribute to trial preparation
Independently progress employment law cases from inception through resolution
Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to deliver comprehensive, client-focused legal solutions
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $150,000 – $275,000 depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available
