Automation Engineer (ABB Robotics) – Custom Systems Design
5 or more years of hands-on experience programming ABB robots in industrial automation and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Robotics (or equivalent experience) is required
Proficiency in ABB RobotStudio and RAPID programming is essential, along with experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or similar) are also requirements for this position
Domestic and international travel to customer sites is up to 30%
Pay is up to $120,000 for a well qualified candidate
Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
No remote as it is onsite while not traveling

Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
Develop and optimize robot programs using ABB RobotStudio and RAPID, focusing on integrating robotic systems with PLCs and automation controls
Contribute to the full project lifecycle, including system design, simulation, testing, and debugging
Perform initial setup, configuration, and system startup for ABB robotics and any related third-party software
Resolve complex robotic and system integration issues (troubleshooting) both in-house and on-site, ensuring thorough program and system documentation
Travel up to 30% annually (domestic/international) for system installation, commissioning, and customer support
The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:
5+ years of hands-on experience programming ABB robots in industrial automation environments
2+ years of ABB RobotStudio and RAPID programming experience
2+ years of experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or similar)
2+ years of experience with industrial automation, motion control, and machine safety systems
Possess the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
Possess a solid work history
Being a US citizen or green card holder
Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
